What exactly is it?
RPG Haven is an upcoming free mobile app for iOS and Android that helps you find the perfect group for the
next D&D game
or any other tabletop role-playing game (like Pathfinder).
It works just like Tinder, except that you just want to play games with these people, not date them.
You like and dislike other users based on whether they fit your interests or not, and
you have lots of criteria to base your choice on, see the next section for more info.
Search Criteria
You can find a group based on...
System Choice
You only see people that have at least one common game system selected.
Timezone & Schedule
Easily see on exactly which days someone is available and how many hours apart you are.
And Many More
Further filtering happens based on whether you're looking for a GM or players, language selection or even tags like "Horror" or "Violent" for themes.

I got into the hobby a few years ago, starting with D&D 5e before gradually
switching over to Pathfinder 2e.
Most of the time, I was the GM for my friend group — and as many fellow GMs will know, sometimes you
just want to be a player for once!
I then realized how hard it could be to first find the right place to look for
- especially for local games - and then actually find the right people.
It felt like there had to be a better way. So, I set out to build an app to make that way.

Some things that you might be wondering about.
Is this a dating app?
No. It's an app to find the perfect people to play your favorite TTRPGs with.
Does the app cost something?
No, the app will be free to use. But it will contain ads, which I hope will result in at least a little bit of fincancial compensation for me :)
Is this a software for running the game, like a VTT?
No, the app's focus is solely on finding the perfect group for you. So matching and chatting with people, nothing else.
Is this for local or online groups?
Both! The idea started out for local groups only, but soon made sense to make it work with everyone around the globe :)
Can you adjust the distance for the search?
Yes! You can choose between different ranges, starting from a local circle to wider areas. And the "online" setting simply looks for all people available.
Does it offer every system?
My goal is to offer a wide variety of systems to choose from, so I am always open to suggestions
from the community.
Just be aware that the more obscure the system, the lesser your chance of finding likeminded
people :)
Can you filter people by experience in the hobby?
Yes, if they answer the question in the onboarding. Same for age and content preferences.
